I had had a pair of glasses since around '82, but after I had managed to
crash in to our car on my bike, even though the car had been completely
visible in the driveway, I was forced to use the glasses permanently.
Both my parents are near-sighted, my mother with around -6 and my father
with around -4, and so it was very natural that I ended up having around -10.
I'm as blind as a mole.
